MTU 4000 PARTS

HOME / MTU PARTS

The high-performance diesel engines produced by MTU are widely used in multiple fields around the world and are renowned for their outstanding reliability and durability.

MTU first introduced the 4000 series diesel engines in 1996, debuting at the SMM exhibition in Hamburg. Since 1996, the MTU 4000 series engines have sold over 50,000 units worldwide, with a cumulative operating time of over 180 million hours. Thanks to the advanced common rail fuel injection system and intelligent electronic management system, this series of engines achieves a perfect balance of low fuel consumption, low emissions, and high power output.

Applications
・ Ship propulsion system:The MTU 4000 series models in the marine sector are mainly 16V 4000 M73L, 12V 4000 M73L, etc. (the “V” represents the cylinder arrangement form, and “M” represents the marine model). The power range covers 1400 kW – 4300 kW, meeting various needs from military vessels to high-end civilian ships. It is one of the “power choices” for mainstream medium and large-sized ships worldwide.
・ Land-based stationary power generation system:The generator models of the MTU 4000 series (such as 16V 4000 G63) focus on “emergency power supply” and “distributed energy” as their core scenarios. The power range covers 1200 kVA to 3200 kVA. They can use diesel or natural gas as fuel and are suitable for places with extremely high requirements for power reliability.
・Heavy vehicles and special equipment: The vehicle models of the MTU 4000 series (such as 16V 4000 M93) can reach a power of 3000 hp (approximately 2200 kW), specifically designed for “super heavy-duty, high-load” land equipment. The scenarios are relatively niche but indispensable.
