・ Power generation: The MTU 2000 series generator sets are reliable in performance, with power ranges of 770 to 1270 kVA (50 Hz) and 680 to 1250 kWe (60 Hz). They can reach full power output within seconds and can accept extremely high load steps without significant frequency and voltage deviations. It exceeds ISO 8528-5 performance grades G2 and G3 and meets the overall load acceptance requirements of NFPA 110. It is suitable for places such as hospitals, data centers, airports, office buildings, commercial centers and industrial facilities that require reliable power supply, and can be used as emergency, basic and peak power sources.
・ Marine: The MTU 2000 series Marine engines adopt advanced technologies such as common rail injection systems and feature high power density, light weight, cleanliness and high efficiency. For example, 12V 2000 M61 (600 KW, 1800 RPM) and 16V 2000 M61 (800 KW, 1800 RPM) can be used for workboats, 8V 2000 M72 (720 KW, 2250 RPM), and 10V 2000 M72 (900 KW) 2250 RPM and others can be used for passenger ships and ferries, while 10V 2000 M94 (1193 KW, 2450 RPM), 12V 2000 M94 (1432 KW, 2450 RPM) and others can be used for yachts.
・Other: The MTU 2000 series can also be applied in heavy-duty vehicles, construction machinery, railway locomotives and other fields. Its engine is highly adaptable, featuring sturdy gray cast iron cylinder blocks and wet cylinder liners. The standard turbocharging system consists of two exhaust gas turbochargers and an intercooler, offering advantages such as long maintenance intervals and low operating costs, which can meet the power demands of these fields.
